Cyprus: the cheapest flight combination jumped 37% in a week, and hasn't eased since
The same Cyprus flight combination has topped our comparison for ten straight weeks - and in just one of them it got more than a third pricier.
As of 3 Oct 2026, our Cyprus flight comparison for a family (2 adults + 2 children) is led by the Bratislava (BTS) - Larnaca (LCA) combination, departing 30 Mar, returning 6 Apr 2027, at 8,800 CZK. On 5 Sep 2026 the same combination cost 6,362 CZK - by the next scan, 12 Sep, it had jumped to 8,729 CZK (a 37.2% rise in a week), and it has held in the 8,729-8,800 CZK band for three more weekly scans since.
Ten weeks, same winner
Our scan compares a broad grid of departure airports (Prague, Vienna, Bratislava) and two Cyprus airports (Larnaca, Paphos) across a rolling ~330-day window, picking the cheapest combination once a week. Up to 20 Jul 2026 that cheapest combination changed its route and dates almost every week - but since 27 Jul 2026 the same BTS-LCA pair for 30 Mar-6 Apr 2027 (the week right after Easter, which falls on 28 Mar in 2027) has led every single scan, ten in a row by now.

What the wider window says
From 1 Jul 2026 to the latest scan on 3 Oct 2026 we counted 12 weekly scans for this destination; the cheapest price among them was 5,528 CZK (12 Aug), the average 6,966 CZK. The 8,800 CZK as of 3 Oct is therefore 26% above the whole window's average and 59% above its low so far - the price hasn't bounced back to normal, it has settled on a new, higher level.
Why the winning combination stays put so long
Our scan is broad - not one fixed flight like Corfu, but the cheapest of around a hundred airport x date x length-of-stay combinations, similar to Albania. The difference is how long the winner holds: for Albania the winning combination changed day by day, while here the same route-and-dates pair has now led ten straight weekly scans. Why this one specifically hasn't been overtaken, our data doesn't show - we see the winner, not the whole grid behind it, so we don't speculate about it.
What to do with it
We're deliberately not writing a verdict here - one combination getting pricier says nothing about whether it's a good buy for your own dates. Anyone considering Cyprus for 30 Mar-6 Apr 2027 at least gets a clear picture: the price hasn't dropped below 8,700 CZK since mid-September.
