Albania: the family fare dropped a fifth in a day, the package is its cheapest since August

As of 28 Sep 2026, a round-trip flight for a family (2 adults + 2 children) to Albania costs 3,907 CZK - a week earlier, on 21 Sep, it was 4,867 CZK. A package for the same family on the same day costs 23,658 CZK, the cheapest day we've measured on this series since 1 Aug 2026. Two independent price series, same destination, and both are currently saying the same thing: right now is cheaper than most of the summer.

The flight is cheaper than 88% of the 103 tracked days, the package cheaper than 87% of 104 days - and on top of that, the cheapest of every day since the start of August.

Where the flight broke

The scan combines six departure airports within reach (Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Krakow, Katowice, Ostrava) and Tirana, tracked daily for the cheapest family (2+2) combination since 13 Jun 2026. From 7 to 23 Sep (seventeen straight scans) the price held almost unchanged in a 4,836-4,905 CZK band. Then on 24 Sep it dropped to 3,968 CZK - an 18.6% fall in a single day - and kept falling over the next three days to 3,700 CZK (27 Sep), the lowest since the break - the cheapest day of the whole series is still 14 Aug (3,389 CZK). The 28 Sep 2026 price, 3,907 CZK, is a modest bounce back up, but still about a fifth below the September band.

The method compares ~73-87 airport/date/length combinations daily and keeps the cheapest - as with Corfu, except there it was one fixed flight, here the whole combined offer.

The package, meanwhile, rode a different curve

The package series has no single big break - it has been sliding gradually since late August (around 31,000 CZK), three weeks straight, down to 23,658 CZK on 28 Sep 2026. We track Albania as a destination with a swim season running roughly June through September, so late September is the last weeks of that window - and for packages that's usually tied to softening demand and lower prices, exactly what this series shows.

What you cannot get from this

The gap between 23,658 and 3,907 CZK is not the price of accommodation - the same rule as for the Bulgaria comparison. The flight series is each day's cheapest airport/date/length combination; the package series is each day's cheapest hotel/date/length offer countrywide. These are two different offers, not two halves of one holiday, and subtracting them would describe a trip that exists nowhere.
