As of 3 Aug 2026, the cheapest tracked family package (2 adults + 2 children) to Hurghada, Egypt is pricier than almost any point since we started measuring it - both our own history and the moving trend point the same way: up.
The price sits in the priciest 2% of its own history
Amwaj Beach Club Resort Aqua Park in Hurghada (all inclusive, 4.5/5 guest rating), departing Brno on 30 Aug 2026 for 3 nights, is listed at 47,560 CZK for the family (11,890 CZK/pp) - a price verified directly with the vendor. Add the airport transfer (1,583 CZK; meals are already covered by all inclusive) and the real price is 49,143 CZK (how we compute the real price is covered in Real price: what we count into it, and why).
Against that stands the destination's own 48-day history: median 38,543 CZK, historical minimum 24,846 CZK. Today's price is therefore pricier than 98% of the days we've recorded in Hurghada over the last 48 days - and the moving trend (recent weeks against older ones) agrees: we flag it as rising. Why right now
It isn't a coincidence of the destination - it's a coincidence of the calendar. The 30 August departure falls in the last week of the Czech summer holidays - the 2026/2027 school year starts on Tuesday 1 September 2026, per the Ministry of Education (MSMT). The last days of the holidays are traditionally the highest-demand window of the season - allotment capacity disappears, and what's left sells for more. It's the same mechanism we described for August-September packages to Bulgaria and Greece - just a different route this time.
A different date, a completely different price
For comparison: the same destination, but a 31 Jan 2027 departure (9 nights, King Tut Aqua Park Beach Resort, all inclusive) is currently listed at 20,790 CZK for the family (5,198 CZK/pp). That price, though, hasn't been verified directly with the vendor yet - it's a search-result estimate, so treat it as indicative, not a direct comparison with the history above (different hotel, different length of stay, different season). Still, it illustrates the direction well: outside the last week of the holidays, Hurghada prices typically return to far lower numbers.
