Bulgaria's August-September package price is up 62% in three weeks

Bulgaria: +62% in three weeks

A package to Bulgaria for a family of 2 adults + 2 children, 8-10 nights, dates 1 Aug - 30 Sep 2026, rose from 16,901 CZK (2 Jul 2026) to 27,353 CZK (20 Jul 2026) - up 61.8% in under three weeks of tracking.

Not just Bulgaria - and not universal

We see the same pattern for Greece in the same window: the price sat flat at 22,788 CZK through the first half of tracking (2-12 Jul 2026), then jumped, and by 20 July 2026 sits at 29,516 CZK - up 29.5% from eight days earlier. Cape Verde moved the other way: from 77,160 CZK (2 Jul 2026) down to 63,960 CZK, where the price has stayed since 11 July 2026 (last confirmed by the 20 July 2026 scan) - a 17.1% drop.

All three series track the exact same party - family 2+2, 8-10 nights, 1 Aug - 30 Sep 2026 dates - just a different destination. One route rising while another falls in the same period shows there's no single shared switch behind it; it's capacity and demand on that specific route.

Why prices rise as the date gets closer

For charter packages this is a well-known pattern: the closer departure gets, the fewer rooms and seats remain in the allotment, and what's left sells for more. August and early September are also the last weeks of the school holidays - demand for that window doesn't fall off, if anything it firms up as families lock in their last summer trip before school starts.
