The same December Vienna-Mallorca combination (family 2+2) got 17% cheaper between 1 and 19 Oct 2026 and is now at its lowest in the last 27 days.
As of 19 Oct 2026, a family (2 adults + 2 children) flight for two weeks to Spain - departing Vienna 10 Dec, returning 24 Dec 2026 - costs 6,984 CZK. That's the lowest of all 27 daily readings since 23 Sep 2026, and also a 17.5% drop from 1 Oct 2026, when the same combination cost 8,464 CZK. We have tracked the series (family 2+2) since 18 Jul 2026, and between 18 Jul and 12 Sep 2026, before we measured it daily, it has also been lower (down to 6,386 CZK) - so this is not the low of the whole series. Every price in this article is a flight-search price and is indicative - the one that counts is what the seller shows at checkout.
Same combination, three checks
Our broad scan compares a grid of departure airports and dates across the whole tracked season and picks the cheapest combination from it. At each of the three checks we made - 1, 10 and 19 Oct 2026 - the same route-and-dates pair won: Vienna (VIE) - Palma de Mallorca (PMI), 10-24 Dec 2026. The price difference is therefore for the same route-and-dates combination, not a different date that simply moved up the ranking.

Vienna leads by more than double
In each of the three checks, Vienna was the cheapest of the three base departure airports we scan for this destination (Prague, Vienna, Bratislava). As of 19 Oct 2026 (family 2+2) the cheapest fare departing in the same week (7-13 Dec 2026) with the same length of stay came out at 15,144 CZK from Prague and 16,400 CZK from Bratislava - more than double the Vienna price. Their exact departure day may differ from Vienna's within that week. Anyone limited to airports closer to Prague or Bratislava will see a higher number on their own screen - our "family 2+2" price is the cheapest of the compared airports, not the price from the reader's own airport.
What the series sees and doesn't
The scan is broad - it compares a grid of dates and airports across the whole today+3 to today+330 days window, not one fixed flight. The stored record for 19 Oct 2026 (family 2+2 prices) holds two more dates from that grid besides December - 30 Mar 2027 (11,087 CZK) and 18 Jul 2027 (17,009 CZK) - plus seven dates from a supplementary scan that is display-only and never enters the series. As of 19 Oct 2026 the December date was cheaper than those too (the closest of them, 8,093 CZK, family 2+2). The scan does not see the days BETWEEN the priced dates; whether some other, unpriced December day would be cheaper or pricier, the data doesn't tell us.
