Croatia, family flight: the same route got a quarter cheaper in three weeks
This Croatia fare didn't change its route or dates over three weeks - just its price, and by a quarter.
As of 31 Aug 2026, the cheapest fare for a family (2 adults + 2 children) from our home airport cluster (Prague, Vienna, Ostrava, Katowice, Krakow, Bratislava, Wroclaw) to Croatia (Zadar, Split or Dubrovnik, max 1 stop) is 6,519 CZK - the route Krakow (KRK) - Dubrovnik (DBV), departing 30 Nov, returning 7 Dec 2026 (7 nights). We've tracked this exact route and these exact dates daily since 12 Aug 2026: back then it cost 8,688 CZK. In nineteen days the price of the same flight fell 25% without a single detail of it changing.
Not a jump, a slide
Unlike the sudden jump we described for Hurghada, this is a slow slide. Between 12 and 19 Aug 2026 the price held above 8,100 CZK, then dropped to around 7,330 CZK and stayed in that band for over a week (20-26 Aug 2026). The real acceleration came in the last five scans: from 7,337 CZK (24 Aug 2026) to 6,519 CZK (31 Aug 2026) - an 11% drop in a single week, the sharpest of the whole tracked period.
| Scan date | Price (family 2+2, KRK-DBV, 30 Nov-7 Dec) |
|---|---|
| 12 Aug 2026 (start of this flight's tracked run) | 8,688 CZK |
| 24 Aug 2026 (a week ago) | 7,337 CZK |
| 31 Aug 2026 (today, the series' floor so far) | 6,519 CZK |
What the wider comparison says
Our method compares around 140 airport x date x length-of-stay combinations for Croatia every day (141, as of 31 Aug 2026) and keeps the cheapest one. The median of that whole comparison barely moved between 12 and 31 Aug 2026 (from 19,988 to 19,575 CZK) - so Croatia as a whole didn't get cheaper, just this one specific route-and-date combination. That's typical for a broad flight series: most offers live their own life, and whichever one is currently winning can move independently of the rest of the market.
What to do with it
We're deliberately not writing a verdict here - the price is falling as of 31 Aug 2026, but a 25% drop on one specific flight doesn't mean all of Croatia got cheaper, or that the price won't jump back up tomorrow. Anyone considering the 30 Nov-7 Dec 2026 dates at least gets a clear picture of the trend; anyone flying elsewhere or on different dates will find their own history and a current verdict on How Voyscout works. How we build the flight series itself is described in How we track flight prices.
