Egypt or Turkey? Where all-inclusive works out better this year

We compared the real cost of a holiday for a family of four, 7 nights - not the catalogue price, but the one you actually pay. The gap isn't where you'd expect.

Guides

Put two offers side by side with the same star rating and the same board, and the catalogue price tells you only half the story. The other half - airport transfer, checked bags, seasonal surcharges - only gets added at home with a calculator. So we did it for you.

What we compared

Model profile: family 2 + 2, departure from Czechia, 7 nights, all inclusive, dates August-September 2026. For each destination we take the cheapest catalogue price of a package for this party that our scanner currently sees - plus the real costs (airport transfer, luggage, extra meals) Voyscout computes for your profile. What exactly goes into the real price is covered in Real price: what we count into it, and why. The figures below are as of 10 July 2026; prices move daily, so treat them as indicative and verify with the provider.

It's not about finding the lowest number in the catalogue. It's about the lowest number you actually end up paying.

The catalogue price it all starts from

The catalogue price is only the starting line - the real price then adds the airport transfer, checked bags and the meals all-inclusive doesn't cover. It rises for both destinations; the real figure is what we rank by. For a family of 2 + 2, the cheapest catalogue price we're currently tracking came out like this:

πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡· Turkey Β· Side ~27,600 CZK

πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¬ Egypt Β· Hurghada ~38,400 CZK

Cheapest catalogue price of a package for a family of 2 + 2, 7 nights, all inclusive, August-September dates, as of 10 July 2026. Data: Voyscout's own price history. The real price then adds transfer, luggage and extra meals - it rises for both. Indicative - verify with the provider.

Where's the catch

The ~10,800 CZK gap this year is in Turkey's favour for this party - and it's wide enough that the real transfer and meal costs won't flip it. But note: we've been tracking this exact party (family 2 + 2, August-September) for only a week, so we keep the verdict at WATCH, not BUY - a confident "buy now" needs deeper history. Switch the date to a peak-holiday weekend or depart from Katowice and the gap and the order can shift - which is why we always compute the verdict for your specific profile, not in the abstract.

  • Airport transfer is often shorter at Egyptian resorts - less for the taxi and less time lost.
  • Board - "ultra all inclusive" in Turkey tends to be richer; if you actually use it, the price difference can come back to you in value.
  • The date moves the price more than the destination does. Shifting a week off-peak easily saves more than the choice of country.

What to do about it

Set up Voyscout, set your profile to family and summer 2026, add both destinations to your watchlist and let the verdict work - how it's built is described on How Voyscout works. When one of the destinations drops below its median and the trend turns down, you'll get BUY - and with it the reason why right now.
